Now this is more like it!!!
Green pastures and horses as far as the eye can see.

COOOOOL! More than an acre to stretch out in. The boys had a good gallop as soon as they were turned loose.
IMG_0213.JPG
YUM! Green grass! The first in a long while!

Rob and Cathy took us to the Kentucky Horse Park and toured us around Lexington. This really is the horse capital of the country!

Man o' War! What an impressive horse!

Lexington,KY has more fencing than any place we've been. And the grounds are all immaculate!

This is the Saddlebred museum, right near the Kentucky Horse Park.

Many of the barns in the area are bigger and fancier than most houses! How would you like this barn in your back yard?
IMG_0022.JPG
This is the site for the 2010 equestrian Games and everyone is excited (and concerned) about the thousands of horses and people that are going to descend on the area.
IMG_0029.JPG
These horses don't seem the least bit concerned. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
IMG_0030.JPG
Definitely not the typical "run-in shed" found around New England. But then these horses really work for their living....

Flowers!
IMG_0039.JPG
And more Flowers! Still a taste of summer left.
IMG_0035.JPG
Nope, it's fall, after all.....
IMG_0044.JPG
We were so impressed by the stone walls in the area.
IMG_0055.JPG
Mile after mile of walls like this. Imagine the work that went into them!

Sadly we must leave Kentucky for home via West Virginia
